    rotecting home education freedom is always job one, but all of us place stretching our dollars near the top of our homeschooling priority list. Look right for SMHEA event discounts and scroll down to locate  businesses and attractions that offer discounts to SMHEA members. It is quite possible to save several times the cost of our SMHEA membership using discounts. This page is a place where we can work together to make homeschooling more affordable. Please notify us when you find businesses offering  discounts or specials to SMHEA members, or have them submit the form below and we will post the information on this page.

Just got back from the Barnes & Noble Home School Open House. Judging form my talks with some of the families who attended, it was a success. I really enjoy the Knoxville Zoo rep and the ball python and toucan. It was fun listening to Sonya Haskins as she talked about her book and answered home school questions. Wesley Woods Homeschool Day

Friday, October 9, Camp Wesley Woods hosted a Homeschool Day. 60 students and a complement of parents experienced a picture perfect fall day in the woods. If you were there let us know your response to the event. What did you like? What could be improved?
